Before I can speak intelligently about the services that might be appropriate for you and your family, I need to get to know you. And, before you can feel comfortable sharing your goals and dreams, you need to get to know me.

The Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation has long been recognized as the fundamental and foremost educational credential for life insurance professionals. Since 1927, more than 94,000 individuals have earned their CLU, helping them build a successful life insurance practice by providing clients with knowledgeable and ethical advice. For financial representatives, field management, home office personnel, and others involved in providing life insurance products to the public, the CLU designation symbolizes continuing growth and commitment to professionalism.
The Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designation focuses on the comprehensive financial planning process as an organized way to collect and analyze information on a client's total financial situation; to identify and establish specific financial goals; and to formulate, implement, and monitor a comprehensive plan to achieve those goals. The ChFC program provides financial services professionals with in-depth knowledge of the skills needed to perform comprehensive financial planning for their clients.
I continually attend numerous seminars and forums in staying abreast of new, cutting edge financial technologies and strategies.

Everyone brings along a unique set of experiences and accomplishments in their life and I am no different. I come from a very athletic family, wherein my father played professional hockey with the New York Rangers, winning the Stanley Cup in 1940 and is the acknowledged inventor of the slap shot, and my brother and I briefly played professional hockey on the minor league level. My three sisters were most active in a number of sports, with one sister skating professionally for fifteen years.
In the late 1950s, my father and his business partner had the unique distinction of owning the exclusive rights to Kentucky Fried Chicken in Western Canada (My claim to fame is I actually had dinner with Colonel Harland Sanders). Through misfortune, bad luck and poor planning, the business was destroyed due to the premature death of a key employee. This had an enormous affect on our family and represents a lesson that I learned well and apply to my personal and professional life, as well as the lives of my clients.
During my many years of practical experience, I noticed terrible mistakes being made by even the most sophisticated clientele because they didn't know the significance of being able to coordinate their professionals. In response to this, I re-engineered my professional specialty into that of a "financial internist" - someone capable of bringing together all of the components of a client's financial environment to focus on aligning client actions with their intentions. Acting as my clients' financial advocate, I actively work together with, and coordinate, a cross-disciplinary network of financial professionals (existing and new) to provide a customized approach in achieving clients' goals.
As a financial advisor, or as I say, a financial internist, I have the ability to take the most sophisticated concepts and communicate them in a simple, easy to understand manner, Before you agree to receive financial planning services, please see complete information and disclosures in the NMIS Financial Planning Brochure (also called the ADV brochure) and review the terms of the NMIS Planning Engagement Agreement.
